Sharing my experience as a Montessori Educator

As part of my coaching plan I can offer you:
- teaching and parenting advice for children up to 6 years of age.
- help you understanding your child and their learning
- offer inspiration for working with your child and helping them understand the world around them.

As a parent, I became interested in the Montessori philosophy and decided to re-train as a Montessori teacher (we prefer to say Educator or Directress).

I hope to share with you seasonal, child-led activities for children aged between 2/5 and 6 years old.

Remember, at the end of the day, your child is unique and there should be no pressure to reach a particular milestone - they all get there in the end!

Maria Montessori was a champion of the child, so too must we be and work with their interests and abilities to offer chances to experience the world around them.

Montessori is one of several educational philosophies, such as Steiner and Reggio Emilia. Spending quality time with your child will help you open the doors onto their unique interests and character.

By managing your time you will hopefully have more time to spend with your child and tap into their interests and develop hobbies you can enjoy together, as they grow up - understanding their individual learning styles.

Their way to communicate with you may be tactile, or creative, linguistic or more.  Tap into the intelligence and interest and you will unlock the doors to understanding what works and really drives your child's learning, emotional well-being and happiness.  Montessori is only one of many different philosophies you may choose to adopt as your raise your child.  As a parent it is important to observe your child's interests and hopefully ignite a lifelong interest in something - that maybe you can do together.

Montessori Quote to inspire you today:

“Movement of the hand is essential.  Little children revealed that the development of the mind is stimulated by the movement of the hands.  The hand is the instrument of the intelligence.  The child needs to manipulate objects and to gain experience by touching and handling”.  Maria Montessori, The 1946 London Lectures, p.36
